Bruce Danfer has lined up some excellent speakers for the upcoming joint Crime & Safety/Housing meetings. Meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30pm at Church of Our Saviour, 471 Crosby Street. For months where no speaker is listed below, we'll have our standard meeting format, with Officer Gould or another COPS officer to discuss your concerns with crime activity in your area.
May 7: West Hill Flag Unveiling! Kick Off event for "More Dirty Little Secrets Garden Tour"! Scott Sella "Container Gardening / Get Your Porch Ready For Garden Tour". Meeting held @ Every Blooming Thing, 1079 W Exchange Street, Akron, Ohio 44313. This event will be a kick off to the WHNO Spring Home & Garden Tour and will also include a brief WHNO membership meeting. Light refreshments will be served.
June 4: Monthly Crime & Safety Meeting
July 2: Monthly Crime & Safety Meeting
August 6: National Night Out Against Crime with Polly Kaczmarek Flowerscape Director, Keep Akron Beautiful. Meeting at Alexander Park, West Market Street. Light Refreshments Served.
On Thursday, January 10th during the day, there was a break in on South Balch Street. A backdoor window was broken while the residents were at work and stolen items included computers, money, jewelry and small electronics.
