HISTORY |
WHERE WE SERVE |
The West Hill Neighborhood Organization was founded by West Hill residents and became an official entity with the State of Ohio in 1997. It was originally formed as a member organization with a focus on preserving the historical fabric of the local community. Through the efforts of WHNO and the surrounding neighborhood, the Hall Park Allotment Historic District (Oakdale Ave.) was listed on the National Historic Register in 2002.
Currently the organization is taking a focus on placemaking, physical improvements and emotional connection to the neighborhood. |
West Hill Neighborhood Organization serves the West Hill neighborhood as defined by The City of Akron, with a current focus on the area between W. Market St. and Maple St., up to Rhodes Ave.
