11:30am Wonderfest Wild Hill Wallop All-Hills Community Bike Ride
The West Hill Neighborhood has some of the most wicked hills in the city - perfect for a biking challenge. Join us for a 5 mile, 500 foot incline bike ride that will make your legs shake. After the ride, come party at the second annual Wonderfest, with local music, food trucks, and a beer garden.

All pets are welcome - as long as they're wearing a costume! Our Ward 1 Akron City Council member, Councilwoman Nancy Holland and Akron's presumptive mayor, Shammas Malik, will be on hand to judge the pet pageant and hand out ribbons to the winners.
Please register your pet here or at the WHNO info booth at Wonderfest on September 23 between 12pm and 1:40pm. You must register and check-in your pet to participate. Pets and their companions will line up for judging at 1:50pm.

Lock 15 Brewing Company Beer Garden
We're thrilled to have Lock 15 Brewing Company beers on tap in the Wonderfest beer garden. Choose from the 1913 Pilsner, Cascade Locks Pale Ale, Apple Pie Hard Seltzer, and our personal favorite, West Hill Weizenbock.
Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Apple Cider, and West Hill Signature Mocktails
If beer is not your thing, we'll also have fresh squeezed lemonade, apple cider, and two signature mocktails garnished with fruit from the Maple Street Orchard. We'll also have born-in-West-Hill Norka sodas for sale.

6pm - 7pm St. Vincent Neighborhood Pot-Luck Cook Out
Neighborhood pot-luck dinner open to all hosted by St. Vincent Parish in Corrigan Hall. Hot dogs and hamburgers provided by the Knights of Columbus. Please bring a side dish or desert to share with friends and neighbors.
Covered dishes will be accepted from 4:15 - 4:30 in Corrigan Hall before 5pm Mass.

7:30pm - 10pm Back to the Future at Glendale Cemetery
Back to the Future free on the big screen at Glendale Cemetery. Brought to you by the West Hill Neighborhood Organization and Free Akron Outdoor Movies. Please bring your own chairs and blankets for seating. You can bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks. WHNO will be selling candy, popcorn, and pop.

HISTORY |
WHERE WE SERVE |
The West Hill Neighborhood Organization (WHNO) was founded by West Hill residents and became an official entity with the State of Ohio in 1997. It was originally formed as a member organization with a focus on preserving the historical fabric of the local community. Through the efforts of WHNO and the surrounding neighborhood, the Hall Park Allotment Historic District (Oakdale Ave.) was listed on the National Historic Register in 2002.
Currently the organization is focusing on promoting the Unified Public District 40 (UPD40) special zoning area featuring retail businesses within homes. A UPD40 Community House is being planned to demonstrate the housing concept. . |
WHNO serves the West Hill neighborhood as defined by The City of Akron consisting of the area between Cascade Valley and West Akron/Sherbondy Hill from, Rhodes Ave. to the north (Highland Square border) and Innerbelt Pkwy to the south (Downtown Akron border), Major thoroughfares include Maple St., North St., Exchange St,, W. Market St. and Crosby St.
